In the Windows environment, version 4.10 eliminated the slow ATA PIO (Programmed Input/Output) transfer mode for single-sector operations on SATA channels. By transitioning all data transfers to DMA (Direct Memory Access), the software significantly reduced CPU overhead and increased the speed of scan and repair operations. Furthermore, the update improved SMART (Self-Monitoring, Analysis, and Reporting Technology) data reporting, specifically correcting issues with non-standard attribute tables found in certain SSD drives. These refinements ensure that users receive accurate health diagnostics before proceeding with repair attempts.
